Upcoming Fall/ Winter Art Exhibits

October 5, 2019

I have to pieces of art that will be on exhibit at two upcoming art shows:

Erase Hate Through Art

My painting of the “Love Trumps Hate” Protester will be exhibited at Erase Hate Through Art 2019. More about this exhibition from the website:

“The sixth annual Erase Hate Through Art exhibition will feature the artworks of artists exploring various themes associated with bullying and hate crimes as a means of prevention. EHTA was born of a desire to raise awareness of hate crimes and bullying against the LGTBQ community. Today the exhibition explores the impact of these crimes against all segments of society. Contributing artists work in all mediums to study the crimes and the impact they have on the victims and their loved one.”

This exhibition will be shown at two locations:

Columbia Art Center
Columbia, Maryland
October 6 – 26, 2019

Chesapeake Art Center
Brooklyn Park, Maryland
November 7 – 30, 2019

Art Howard County 2019

My Supergirl in Training painting was accepted for the Art Howard County 2019 Exhibition. From the website:

“Art Howard County is a multi-media juried exhibit showcasing the impressive depth of artistic talent right here in our community. Visual artists, 18 years of age or older, who live, work or study in Howard County.”

Details about this exhibit:

Howard County Center for the Arts
Ellicott City, Maryland
November 1 – December 13, 2019

If you’re local to Maryland, consider attending one of these events. There will be many great works of art on display from a variety of artists.

2019 Mount Airy Artsfest

June 29, 2019

June 22nd I participated in my first art fair and had a fantastic time! I met some new people including some artist friends and learned some tips and about new opportunities. I was able to chat with people (in person!) about my art which was a lot of fun. My only regret is that I didn’t walk around as much as I would have liked too. It was apparently there was a lot of talented people there.

HoCo Open 2019

January 17, 2019

I showed one of my paintings in the HoCo Open 2019! The exhibit was on display from January 11 through February 22, 2019. HoCo Open is an annual non-juried exhibit open to visual artists who live, work, or study in Howard County, Maryland. Artists are invited to submit one piece of original artwork completed in the past two years.

I submitted my painting “Dear Journal” for this exhibit. It was tough picking just one. But at least this way my little boy was in the show too 🙂

Feature in the Capitals Outsider Website

August 2, 2018

It was a pleasant surprise to be featured in an article on the Capitals Outsider website. Ironically (as a non hockey fan), my Alex Ovechkin painting is my most popular painting to date! Read the article here.

If you’re interesting in your own copy to hang in your home, prints are available here through Fine Art America.
